People's Republic of China (Zhong Guo): The country in the middle - the center of the world

My favorite place to be: China. If you have not been able to experience Europe in the 60s, then you have to come here. The economy is just starting to open up and everybody has the belief that tomorrow will be "be bright". Even though the huge mass has nothing. It is a very enthusiastic, positive atmosphere.

Chinese cuisine is the best in the world. Especially the tasty food from the north or the west. I think nobody can say "I do not like Chinese food". Even if what you have tasted so far is not what you prefer, there are still thousands of other dishes and I bet there is something you really love. Do not think what you get at a "Chinese" restaurant in Europe is actually Chinese.

On the right side of of this page you can find different topics. If you click on them it will take you to further pages showing different subtopics. I hope you do not get lost in the jungle of pictures taken in China.

These pages are still under construction especially due to the high number of pictures I have shot around China. It will take years to really sort through all of them (...the bad side of digital photography: I still take too many pictures
and do not like deleting them. If you have any suggestions on how to efficiently filter out the nice pics or how to not take too many pictures in the first place then please let me know). But I hope to have uploaded some more before the Olympics.
