Australia: The Western country in the East.

G'day mate!

Australia is very easy going. But it has a lot of Asien influences since it is sourrounded by Asian countries. Through it's western society it attracts many young Asians, especially students.

Do you have the same problem like me, that after a few days outside Asia you start missing the Asian cuisine? That is no problem in Australia. You get as close as it can get orginal Asian food in some restaurants. Just ask the locals e.g. for a good Japanese restaurant. They are very helpful and the food is quite authentic.

After being served white wine at 35°C, or red wine with sprite or with ice cubes as it happens in most places of Asia (If they have any "grape" wine at all...), it is a plesure to drink the great Australian wines. And maybe unknown in Europe, Australia also has fine wines which were not made in barrique barrels and therefore do not have that intense vanilla taste.
